I know everyone thinks it was funny or silly or whatever but like one of the saddest things in the movie to me was when they were about to eat the berries, and Peeta reached out and played with Katniss’ braid. In the cave scene, he mentions that she wore her hair in two braids the first time he saw her. He’s gone through years of watching her and wanting her and not being able to have her, seen her growing up from the little girl with two braids, to a woman, to them being reaped, and thrown together in this awful situation. And I mean, it’s down to just them, and he’s about to kill himself for her, with her, and the amount of emotion caught in his face and that tiny little movement, playing with her braid, ugh. I don’t know. I just have a lot of feelings about Peeta.

It’s just that…I just think that some things are meant to be broken. Imperfect. Chaotic. It’s the universe’s way of providing contrast, you know? There have to be a few holes in the road. It’s how life is.
